Depending on the formulation, the open time can be varied from very short to very long. The group of PO-based hot melts is also the most frequently used type for bonding by spray application.

In the packaging industry, hotmelt adhesives produced with the aid of metallocene technology are used, which have a significantly improved performance spectrum compared to EVA hotmelts.
